Current availability: the base state system is active, but the government, office, public-record, war-council, and trade-office modules are disabled right now. The sections below explain the civic structure. They do not claim those controls are currently available.

States and government types

A nation can provide the base for a state. The civic design covers presidential republics, parliamentary republics, constitutional monarchies, council democracies, autocracies, and custom rules written by players.

Use /geopol status to view your town, nation, and any public office attached to your player. /geopol government opens The State, although its government modules are currently disabled.

Constitutions

A constitution records how a state is meant to work. It can define the government type, the powers attached to offices, how leaders are selected, how laws change, and which decisions require a public vote.

Offices and parliament

The civic structure includes public offices and parliamentary roles. Offices assign responsibility to named players, while parliament provides a place for motions, debate, and recorded decisions.

Laws, motions, and referendums

Written laws and motions create a public record of decisions. Referendums let a state put a question directly to eligible citizens when its constitution calls for a vote.

State gazette

The state gazette is the public record for government notices, laws, motions, and other civic updates. It is meant to make political decisions easier for citizens and neighboring nations to follow.

What to use while modules are disabled

Town and nation leaders can still organize through the existing town and nation systems. The SiegeWar guide explains the separate war rules that affect towns and nations.
